Welcome to the memorial page for

Lorraine (Clinton) Beckstrand

February 21, 1931 ~ June 25, 2017 (age 86)

Lorraine Clinton Beckstrand, 86, passed away peacefully on June 25th, 2017 surrounded by her loving husband and children.

Lori was born on February 21st, 1931 in Copperton, Utah to Charles William and Georgia Berniece Clinton. She graduated from Jordan High School in 1949. She married her sweetheart, Robert Lynn Beckstrand, on July 7th, 1958. They enjoyed nearly 59 years of wonderful friendship, love and companionship. They are the parents of 5 sons, a daughter, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Family was everything to Mom. She is survived by her husband: Bob; sons: Lynn (Bea), David and Rick; daughter: Lisa Kathleen; sister: Susan (Vicky); and is pre-deceased by: parents: Charles and Berniece, and sons: Jon and Scott.

Mom had a rich and wonderful life. She was beautiful, loving, full of fun, adventurous, a little mischievous, independent, very hard working and ever determined!

All that knew her were inspired by her devotion to serve others, especially her family. She was a devoted counselor and advocate to her husband and each of her children. A wonderful Mother, always concerned about the spiritual and academic growth of her children. She took the time to listen to her family with compassion and love.

Mom was very dedicated to doing genealogy work for her Italian heritage. After years of working so hard to piece the information together she was able to take a very special trip to Italy to finally find and meet her Father’s family. She and Dad were thrilled to see their work come to fruition and complete the temple work for many of her ancestors.

She organized a successful fund-raising event, raising over $80k for a large family who had tragically lost their father in a car accident. She served willingly on many humanitarian projects. She has also served her LDS faith in many different leadership capacities in the Relief Society and Young Women’s organizations. Even in the latter days of her life she longed to help others.

Mom had a deep and abiding testimony, she was faithful and obedient and loved her Heavenly Father and Savior so very much.

She loved music and could never resist tapping her foot, clapping her hands and singing along especially to her favorite Frank Sinatra songs.

She was an exceptionally talented artist and her home was decorated with many of her beautiful paintings.

Mom and Dad enjoyed countless wonderful vacations and camping trips – she even taught her husband how to fish!

When Dad had a serious heart attack in 2006 Mom played a critical role in saving his life and nursing him back to health.

She is indeed an outstanding person, we all love her and look forward to being reunited someday.
