Brayden Joe Cisneros Long

Brayden Joe Cisneros Long, a little boy full of life, adventure, dreams and hopes entered this world on January 10, 2013. Inquisitive, adventurous and with a mind of his own, from early on there was no stopping him. However, on July 6, 2022 while on one of his adventures his life was taken away due to a tragic accident.

Brayden truly loved life. Never was there a dull moment when he was around and if you ever questioned where he was, just look to the top of the nearest tree, giant rock or inside a homemade fort. He was always climbing, jumping, running, or riding his bike. For him everything was about how high or how fast he could go. He was a boy on the move. He had a love for fast cars and bikes, and he just knew that someday he would own his very own Lamborghini. He was always wanting to know how things worked and if you didn’t know the answer, he wasn’t afraid to tear whatever it was apart and figure it out for himself. He loved his rocks, not just for climbing but for collecting and/or breaking them apart just to see what was inside. A sparkling geode was a treasure worth its weight in gold. Brayden had a love for animals, and it wasn’t unusual to find him playing with a puppy, holding a chicken, baby goat or pig or sometimes just simply staring at his fish tank looking for the one he called Big Boy. Spiders and bugs were never safe as he always found them a new home on his bedroom shelf in a box, jar or paper cup. He loved his Xbox and playing Fortnite with all his friends. He recently earned his green belt in Taekwondo and was so proud of his accomplishment.

He was a little boy with a big smile, big personality, and big heart. He could make a friend wherever he went. He had a sense of knowing who needed comfort. He could offer a smile, a hug or friendly hi just to make someone feel better. Although his life was short while on this earth his presence and influence will be forever here. Brayden was raised in South Jordan and attended Monte Vista Elementary School, where he loved to go. He was so looking forward to being in 4th grade.

He is survived by his parents Dan Long and Clark Monk, and sister Matalee Long, his birthmother Melinda Irazoqui (Salt Lake City), a half-sister Haylee Borg (South Jordan), his grandmothers Cindy Long/Nanna (Sandy), and Jolene Monk (Palmyra), along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his brother Marco Irazoqui Jr and grandfather Roy Monk.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 18, 2022 at the Bastian Agricultural Event Center, 2100 West 11400 South, South Jordan, Utah from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 1:15 pm. Interment will be in the South Jordan City Cemetery.
