Precilla Kay Arlene SanMiguel passed away in her home on June 28th, 2022. She was born on November 2nd, 1944 to Tony and Rebecca Montoya DeTevis in Bingham Canyon, Utah. She was a member of the Catholic Church.

She married Manuel Richard Chavez, later divorced. Together they had 3 children. Later she married Johnny SanMiguel, later divorced. Together they had 1 child.

Kay loved all her family very much and throughout her life she spent it caring for them as well as several others. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She loved to camp in American Fork Canyon and she loved to play her slot machine games on her Ipad. Prior to the invention of the Ipad she loved to go to Wendover and take her chance at the slot machines. She loved the Denver Broncos which was one of the things on her bucket list she was able to complete. She attended a game at their home stadium. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched and by all those who love her dearly.

Surviving family: daughters: Lori Chavez (Troy) of South Jordan and Brenda Lee Chavez (Robert) of West Valley City, son: Richard Dean Chavez (Michelle), St. George, Kari’s two sons she raised as her own: Jose and Jorge Topete, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandson, brother: Eddie DeTevis of Palm Springs.

Preceded in death by both her parents, brothers Tony and Jess DeTevis and sister Marie Jimenez, late husband Manuel Chavez, as well as her daughter Kari Lynn SanMiguel, which is a death she never quite got over.

Rosary and viewing will be held on Friday, July 8th from 6-8 pm at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street, Midvale, Utah 84047.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 9th starting at 10 am with final viewing until 11 am, and at 11 am services will start at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street, Midvale, Utah 84047, and conclude at the Sandy City Cemetery on 700 East 9000 South, Sandy, Utah 84070.
