Ren Verion Smart

Ren Verion Smart, 76, of West Valley City passed away September 27, 2022.

He was born December 29, 1945 to Verion and Coral Smart.

Ren enjoyed spending time fishing, horses, swimming, tinkering with cars, bodywork and dragging the street in his younger days. He especially loved his little dog, Buffy.

He had a contagious laugh and was always joking around, he will also be missed by his coffee buddies at his favorite cafes "every morning."

He is preceded in death by his parents Verion and Coral, nephews Brett and Lamar.

Surviors include: daughters Stacey Pau'u of West Valley, Brandi (Shawn) Svancara of Spring Creek, Nevada, grandchildren Randall, Preston, Michael and Jack and great-granddaughter Brogan, sisters Joan Ainsworth (Noal) and Linda Snarr, girlfriend Linda Timothy and several nieces and nephews that loved him very much.

A special thanks for Ren's neighbors for their love and support during his long illness.

In lieu of flowers, donations can made to the Utah Humane Society.

Viewing, gathering, prayers and remarks for friends and family will be Thursday, October 13th, 2022 at 11 am at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street, Midvale, Utah. Interment will be at Murray City Cemetery, 5490 South Vine Street, Murray, Utah.
