Alice Holsten

Alice Holsten, 89, passed away on May 24, 2024. She was born January 21,1935 in Centerfield, Utah. Alice had two older brothers (Lee Olsen, Nolan J. Olsen), and two younger brothers (Perry Olsen, Clinton Olsen). She cherished her brothers very much.

Alice was a proud Jordan High Beetdigger, and 12 of her school friends would meet for lunch every month for years/decades.

Alice was married to Willian J. Holsten and had a long, loving and happy marriage.

Alice had two boys Steven L. Gehring and Russ W. Holsten. She welcomed in two stepchildren Kent Holsten and Connie Cevering. She lost a daughter at birth Karen Holsten.

She loved being around her mother (Hazel Olsen) watching and observing her quiet intelligence and grace. She loved being around her father (Clinton Olsen) witnessing his easy charm and stoic presence. Sometimes she liked to go fishing. Alice had her father’s strength to hold things steady and pull everybody up. Alice had her Mother's heart. She wanted to make everyone feel valued and loved. She learned from her mother to be a caretaker to all.

Alice worked 37 years as a secretary at Sandy Elementary. She was forever adored by all those that passed through that school.

Alice was an avid basketball fan and she loved her Utah Jazz.

Alice had 10 grandkids, 24 great grand kids, and 6 great great grandkids. She loved them very much.

Alice is preceded in death by both parents, three brothers, her husband and a daughter.

Goodbye mom. No longer worry about all of us and know that all of us love you so much. Like you always told me, "everything will be ok".
