Alice (Marie) Humes

Alice (Marie) Humes, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, was born on September 16, 1943, to Leo and Ruby Andrews in Los Angeles, California. Marie joined her mother and father, husband Gary (R) Humes, Carl Parks, son Leo (Gary) Humes, seven siblings, and two great-grandchildren in death on May 27, 2023.

Marie leaves behind her children Tina and (Dave) Derbidge, Wendy Humes Braithwaite, and Val Braithwaite, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and six siblings. She was a mother figure to all being the second oldest of her siblings.

She had a passion for shopping until “we” dropped. One of her true loves in life was Elvis Presley. She loved his moves and his music too. She loved her game shows, especially Steve Harvey. She loved relaxing at home and being with her family if she wasn’t in Wendover playing the penny slots. The family would like to give a very special thank you to Jimmy and Crystal Hernandez for all their love and care.

The viewing will be at Goff Mortuary on June 1, 2023, between 6 and 8 pm.
