Anita Gail Hawkins

In loving memory of Anita Gail Hawkins. Anita was born on July 22, 1956, in Boise, Idaho to Opal Von Brown and Marvin Dorrance Kerns. She passed away June 13, 2022, in West Jordan, UT. Anita was raised in Boise and lived in several other states during her youth.

She enjoyed camping, fishing, and riding ATVs. She was also a member of the Utah ATV Association. Anita made friends wherever she went, and she had a smile and personality that was contagious to everyone who met her. She loved spending time with the “Wild Bunch,” her ATV friends.

She was an amazing grandmother and mother, and she loved her family so greatly.

Anita valiantly fought her cancer for 13 months before her body became too weak to fight any longer.

Anita married George Doyal Scott and together they had a daughter named Carrie DiAnna Scott. They later divorced.

On Jul 21, 1993, Anita married Steven Travis Hawkins. They had a daughter named Courtney Lyn Scott.

Anita is survived by her sister Lynda (Larry) Murphy, her daughters Carrie and Courtney, her husband Steven Hawkins, four grandchildren, two nieces, and a nephew.

Anita is preceded in death by mother Opal Lambuth, father Marvin Kerns, stepfather Joe Lambuth, and her brother Brian Lambuth.

Memorial services will be held on June 21, 2022, at Goff Mortuary located at 8090 S. State St., Midvale, UT 84047 from 12 pm to 2 pm. The dress will be casual and there will be no procession.

A private viewing will be held before the memorial service from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, as well as a luncheon following the memorial. This will be reserved for family and close friends as Anita wished and is an invitation only.

Anita was loved by all and will always be remembered.
