Ann Marie Pyne Spackman

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Ann Marie Pyne Spackman, passed away peacefully on August 7th, 2026, in Midvale, Utah.

Ann was born on August 23rd, 1947, in Provo, UT, the oldest of Max and Beatrice Pyne’s five children (Terry Pyne, Elizabeth Lloyd, Elsie Petty, and Christine King). She met her sweetheart and future husband, Dennis Spackman, in her high school debate class. They found success as debate partners and as eternal partners during 60 years of marriage. Ann and Dennis were sealed in the Manti Temple and together raised four blessed children, Annette Merrell (Barry), Matthew Spackman (Tracy), Natalie Adams (Roger), and Andrew Spackman (Emily).

Ann was a wonderful mother whose life was dedicated to raising her children. She was also actively involved in responsibilities at her children’s schools and in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was the best grandmother a child could ask for and was very proud of her 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her kind and selfless spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

Memorial services will be held on August 15th at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 8171 South Jackson St., Midvale, UT. Viewings will be held at the same location on August 14th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on August 15th from 9:00-10:30 a.m.
