Ardene Jones, passed away peacefully in West Jordan, Utah, Thursday, May 1, 2025, at the age of 83. There waiting to meet her were her husband, Gary with Bojangles, and her son Shaun.

Ardene was born on October 16, 1941, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Dean Farmer Egbert and Ardith Anderson Egbert.

Ardene was a graduate of Olympus High School which is where she initially met her late husband Clifford “Gary” Jones whom she reconnected with at a reunion and married many years later.

She spent most of her life in Salt Lake City, except for 10 years that she lived and worked in Burnsville and Apple Valley, Minnesota. She had careers in both Travel and Hospitality as well as in Real Estate where she enjoyed success and also developed lifelong friendships with many coworkers who were very dear to her throughout her life.

She is survived by her sons Blake Gee, and Brandon (Ali) Gee, her brother Cary (Pamala) Egbert, her stepmother Janet Egbert, stepsister Dedria Catalano-tudor, stepdaughters Andrea (Jeff) Bridgeforth, and Adrienne Jones Sanders, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dean Egbert & Ardith Egbert, her husband Clifford “Gary” Jones, and her son Shaun “Krash” Shelton.

A visitation and viewing will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday, May 13 at the Goff Mortuary located at 8090 S State Street, Midvale, Utah.

Graveside services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, May 14 at the Memorial Mountain View Cemetery located at 3115 E 7800 S Cottonwood Heights, Utah.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Summit Senior Living and Cascade Hospice for all of their care, along with Ali Gee who selflessly and lovingly cared for her since her husband’s passing.
