Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and Great-Great-grandmother, Ardonna, 99, passed away on August 6, 2025, in Draper, Utah. She was born on October 27, 1925, to Genevieve H. Pearson and Ernest A. Ferguson.
Mom married Paul P. Bennion on March 26, 1943, in Randolph, Utah. They were sealed together in the Salt Lake Temple on May 25, 1965.
As well as raising seven children, she worked part-time as a waitress and a salesclerk.
As the second child and oldest daughter of eleven children, she took on many of the household responsibilities. While Mom was still very young, she began making bread and rolls for the family. She would have to stand on a stool in order to reach the countertop. She prepared most of the meals for the family and she continued cooking and baking into her 90’s. All of her family and friends have benefited from her cooking skills as well as her endless generosity.
Mom and Dad enjoyed cruising and traveling the country in their RV’s. During their travels, they often spent time in North Carolina and winters at Lake Havasu.
Mom loved to sing and often sang with her sisters in church and many other special occasions.
Mom enjoyed painting, photography, cross stitching, crocheting, gardening, canning fruits and vegetables and decorating her home.
Her family always came first and we were blessed to have had her in our lives. Mom was very proud of all her family, which included 7 children, 19 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren, and 37 great-great-grandchildren; all of whom will miss her dearly .
Mom is survived by her children; Brent (Sharene), Tom (Linda), Suzanne James (Phil), Nancy Rosensteel (Dan), Sherrie Glodowski, Mary Ann Pollock (Steve) and one sister; Loris Hansen.
Mom was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul “Mr. B”; her precious son, David Noel, her son-in-law, Bill Glodowski, grandchildren; Marty Glodowski, Jill Warner, and Creed Julian; 9 brothers and sisters; her great-grandchildren; Kira Warner, Max Bennion, Justin Davis; and great-great-grandchild, Violet Means.
We would like to give special thanks to the great staff of Beehive Homes of Draper for the loving care and kindness that was shown to our Mother. Also, we would like to thank Hospice Nurse, Jacque Parker and the staff of Auburn Crest Hospice for the wonderful professional care they provided Mom as well as helping our entire family through this process. Love To All Of You.
