Arvilla R. Fawcett

Arvilla R. Fawcett, 92, mom, grandma, great grandma, sister, friend and Grandma Bella passed away March 14, 2024, with family by her side. She was born on December 5, 1931, in a little stone-grey house by the railroad tracks in Coalville to Paul A. and Annie Wilde Reese, sixteen years later her sister, Paulette, joined the family.

She attended school in Coalville and graduated from North Summit High School with the class of 1950. She was the student body Historian. She went to college at BYU for a short time. She married Roy H. Fawcett on January 29, 1951, in the Salt Lake Temple. Dad went into the service, and they lived in Kansas and Alabama and then settled in Henefer. Five girls were born, Rolane, Annette, Dixie, Colleen and Susan which left Dad with a house full of women but he never complained. Mom worked at the Banks in Coalville retiring from Zions Bank. She was a member of the Henefer DUP. She was a member of the Henefer 1st Ward, where her greatest calling was ward organist, as music was a big part of her life. She was even on the Story Trek program on TV because of her music. She played at church, funerals and for a men's singing group. Mom and dad served as temple ordinance workers at the Ogden temple before his death on January 22, 1996.

She loved BYU sports games, the Jazz, music, going for a ride, the color purple, NSHS, Henefer 4th of July, but most of all her FAMILY. She was a great cook and candy maker, winning many gold plates at the Summit County Fair. She was a NSHS Brave to the Bone Award, Divine Smile was her assigned Native American name. As she would say "Go Braves".

She is survived by her daughters Rolane (Spencer), Annette (Louis), Dixie (Craig), Colleen (Kyle) and Susan (Jason), 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, sister, Paulette (Nolan), brothers-in-law Jerry, Lorin (Waneta), sisters-in-law Nadine (John), Mildred, Eyvonne and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and in-laws.

The family would like to thank the staff at Family Tree and Encompass Health for all their service and love shown to our mom.

A funeral will be held Tuesday, March 19 at noon at the Henefer 1st Ward Chapel, with visiting from 10:30-11:45 a.m. and visiting on Monday, March 18 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Interment at the Henefer Cemetery.
