Ava Olivarez, our beautiful daughter, left this world far too soon at the age of 17 on April 2, 2026.
Ava was a free spirit who lived life to the fullest. She had a deep love for people and a wide circle of friends, she had a way of connecting with people, young and old, and an incredible ability to relate to anyone, no matter their age. She was wise beyond her years, with a heart of gold, that made people feel valued and understood.
Ava’s greatest passion was racing. She began competing in the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League at just 8 years old and last year winning the 2025 Las Vegas track championship. Racing wasn’t just a hobby, it was part of who she was. She loved cars, trucks, and snowmobiling, and worked side by side with her dad to help build her own race car.
Ava was uniquely herself. She could have her hands covered in grease as she was embracing her girly side. She was authentic in every way, and that is something we cherished deeply.
Ava is survived by her loving parents, Aaron Olivarez (Gretchen Polhemus-Jensen), Ashleigh Sinclair-Meyer (Clint Meyer), sister Olivia Wise-Schroader (Austin Schroader) and all her family who adored her beyond words. She leaves behind countless friends and loved ones whose lives were forever touched by her kindness, strength, and vibrant spirit.
A celebration of Ava’s life will be held on Saturday, April 11th at South Mountain Community Church, 14216 S. Bangerter Pkwy., Draper, UT 84020.
Viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by a celebration of life. Family and friends are invited to proceed to her burial at 4:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S., Sandy, UT 84092.
Even though her time here was far too short, Ava’s legacy will last a lifetime. She will forever be our greatest light, our pride and joy, our greatest love.
