Barbara Joyce Jensen Kemp

Barbara Joyce Jensen Kemp, cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, returned to the loving and waiting arms of "her Lynn" by the light of her Savior on June 13, 2025, at the age of 85. Though her passing came suddenly, she fought a long, valiant battle with Parkinson's disease.

Born on August 13, 1939, Barbara lived a long life full of quiet grace and deep devotion. She married her high school sweetheart Lyndon H. Kemp on July 23, 1959. Together they raised four sons - Vic, Clint, Mike, and Dave -each of whom carry her strength and spirit. She was a mother who gave all that she had, a grandmother who beamed with pride at the mention of family, and a great-grandmother whose love stretched across miles and generations.

Barbara wasn't loud or demanding - she didn't need to be. Her love was steady, her presence grounding, her spirit soft but powerful. There was a gentle sweetness about her; something you noticed even in the smallest moments. A kind smile. A warm laugh. A way of making things feel okay, even when they weren't.

In her final hours many of her family rushed to say goodbye. Though she could barely respond and may not have fully understood what was happening around her, we know she felt our love. We believe she knew, deep inside, that she mattered so much - to all of us.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Victor (Lisa), Clinton (Crystal), Michael (Lori), and David (Robin), her 15 grandchildren, and her growing family of 34 great-grandchildren. She lives on in the stories we'll tell, the memories we carry, and the quiet ways we try to love like she did - with grace, with patience, and without asking for anything in return.

We will be privileged to honor her life on Wednesday June 18, 2025 with a viewing starting at 9:00 am, and a service at 11:00 at Anderson & Goff Mortuary, 11859 S 700 E, Draper, Utah. Interment will follow at Crescent Cemetery located at 11105 S State St, Sandy, Utah. We invite family and friends to join us as we say goodbye, reflect on a beautiful life, and celebrate the woman who tied so many hearts together.
