Loving and Loved Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend

Barry Lichtman passed away on May 17th, 2026, at the age of 88. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Barry spent his youth walking a mile to school, playing sports, going to the movies, and eating ice cream.

When he was 19, he married Suzanne, his ‘greatest person on earth’ and they spent 54 years being proud parents and grandparents while rolling with life’s surprises. In addition to his role as father, grandfather, and eventual great-grandfather, he had been an executive, a roofer, a real-estate agent, a helper, and friend to everyone he met. Barry was a playful, mischievous man who hoped to expose his loved ones to the joys and unexpected moments of life while passing on a philosophy of compassion and acceptance for others.

Barry is survived by his three children, Amy Heinrichs, Terri Goldstein (son-in-law Jeff), and Peter Lichtman; his grandchildren, Jessica, Jason, and Julia; his great-grandchildren Harper, Hattie, and Zoe; and his brother Richard. With hope, Barry is now at peace and reconnecting with his love Suzanne, his grandson Justin, his parents, and all the puppies of his life.
