Bonnie Lue Fowkes

Bonnie Lue Fowkes, age 66, peacefully passed away at her home on August 14, 2025, surrounded by her family, after a long and courageous battle with Dementia.

Bonnie was born and raised in Goshen, Utah, to Glen and Lola Jacobson. She met her true love, Glen Fowkes, and the two of them built a life together in Mona, where they raised four children. Bonnie and Glen shared 48 beautiful years together, chasing grandkids, living life, and showing their family what true love looks like. They were a living example of the vows "in sickness and in health," with Glen by her side throughout every challenge she faced.

Bonnie’s life revolved around family. As a Grandma Bonnie found her true calling. She was at every rodeo, dance recital, football and softball game, and school program, cheering her grandkids on with an enthusiasm that could light up any room. Bonnie’s love for her family knew no bounds, and they were the center of her world.

Bonnie’s love for horses was a constant thread throughout her life. Whether at 4-H shows, rodeos, or riding club meets, horses were always close to her heart. She also enjoyed spending time in her yard, especially when she and her sister would go flower shopping. For 19 years, she drove a school bus, forming lasting friendships and truly enjoyed the kids.

She was known for her sense of humor, her generous spirit, and her infectious laugh. Bonnie was the favorite aunt—the one who always had a prank up her sleeve and who was ready to lend a helping hand. She looked forward to the family deer hunts and Easter camping trips. Bonnie enjoyed sitting around the fire sharing stories, laughing , and making memories.

Bonnie is survived by her devoted husband Glen, their children Shawn & LeeAnn Fowkes, Jayson Fowkes, Jason & Emily Riding, and Troy Fowkes; and her beloved grandchildren Kesler, Laney, Jaycee, Tessie, Mattie, Pate, Myles, Macklee, and Harper. She is also survived by her siblings Dennis Jacobson, Bobbie & Doug Palmer, Marvin & Mary Jacobson, and Rex & Judy Jacobson. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws Earl & Darlen Fowkes, her grandson Shawn Lee Fowkes, her brother Gail Jacobson, sisters-in-laws Vicky Jacobson and Nancy Fowkes, and nephews Gary Jacobson and Wade Jacobson.

Bonnie’s life was one of unwavering love, selflessness, and dedication to family. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
