Bonnie Louise Maness

Bonnie L Maness, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 18, 2026.

Bonnie was born January 12,1942 the first child of Gordon Estes and Helen Mortenson. She grew up in Salt Lake City where she would later meet her husband Eugene Maness. They loved the outdoors and spent many years going camping, hunting and fishing together. Bonnie had many hobbies including sewing, canning, baking and cooking lavish holiday meals for her family.

Bonnie excelled in her career in the medical manufacturing field and later a talented seamstress. She took great pride in her work. Bonnie loved being our momma but her true joy was being a grandma. She fondly called her grandchildren her "Angel Babies". She would make them laugh by rolling her eyes and making silly faces. If you asked her, each one of them was her favorite. She often told us the best part of being a parent was having grandchildren.

Bonnie is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 68 years Eugene Maness; sister Brenda Deans (Darrol), brother Steve Mortenson, son Tim Rogers, daughters Julie Carl (Bill), Vicky Rindlisbacher (Kim), Bonnie Nickle (Jared), Judy Nielsen and Gina Thomson (Doug).

She was preceded in death by her son Randy, mother Helen, father Gordon Estes, brothers Gordon and Lynn, sisters Julie and Janice. A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, August 24, 2026 at Goff Mortuary located at 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, UT 84047.

The family wishes to express their gratitude and appreciation to our mothers’ caregivers. Thank you for your kindness and care of our dear mother.
