Byong "Sue" Ahn Sook Schapmire

Byong (Sue) Ahn Sook Schapmire, age 95, passed away Sunday morning June 22nd 2025. She was born April 5, 1930 in South Korea. A daughter of the late An Pil-Seung and Jeong Su-Seop.

Sue, as she was known by many, was a loving mother, grandmother and granny. Her life was spent caring for those around her. She spent many hours caring for children in our home daycare and raising 5 children. Mom will be remembered for her radiant smile, perseverance and love for life.

Although mom’s physical presence may no longer be with us her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. Mom loved being with family and her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy of her life.

Sue is survived by one son, four daughters, one daughter-in-law and four son-in-laws, John Schapmire (Mison), Nanci Brown (Bill), Sally Castleton (Dave), Susie Hogue (John), Janet Graham (Randy), several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

A private celebration of life will be held by her family in the coming month.
