Carol Carver Jensen

Carol Carver Jensen, age 86, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, in Lehi, Utah. She was born to George Washington Carver and Phyllis Stokes Carver on December 24, 1939, in Ogden, Utah.

Carol is preceded in death by her loving husband Larry Wayne Jensen, with whom she had shared 59 years of marriage when he passed in 2018. They wed in June 1959 in the Logan Temple. Together they had 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. They built a life centered on their family, hard work, and dedication to one another.

Carol was the proud mother of, and is survived by, Scott Wayne Jensen (Sharla Alsup Jensen), Todd Carver Jensen (Jonel Iott), and Judy Jensen (Robert Bush).

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Jean Carver Belnap, brother, James Carver, daughter-in-law, Sharla Alsup Jensen, and grandson, Mathew Scott Jensen.

Carol was strong, brave, and hard-working. When she set her mind to a goal, she would achieve it at the highest level. Her first job was for Arctic Circle in Ogden. She would often tell stories of how she helped mix the new “fry sauce” from scratch in the early mornings before they would open. This is also where she met her partner for life, Larry.

Carol got her education at Ben Lomond High School and Stevens-Henager College. She accepted a secretary position at Hill Air Force Base right after college. Carol took some time off to have and nurture her three children but was soon back to work in full force working at various companies doing their bookkeeping. She often worked more than one job at a time. She was very good at math and found that she loved the challenge of balancing accounts. Later in life, she worked for Mervyns Department Store for 10 years. She worked in the stockroom and enjoyed throwing freight, stocking shelves, and organizing the stockroom.

When Carol wasn’t working, she devoted herself to family and crafting. She loved to spend time in her craft room making things for others. She was an excellent seamstress making prom dresses, Halloween costumes, doll clothes, and princess dresses for her family.

Carol was a religious woman, however, would keep her beliefs and thoughts close to her heart. She encouraged her children to be open, curious, and respectful of others’ beliefs. In her final years she would share more about her anticipated journey following her time on Earth and she had found peace.

All who knew Carol loved her and enjoyed her incredible sense of humor. She had the ability to make everyone feel accepted and valued. She would always put others before herself. She would look forward to visits from family but especially enjoyed her visits with her sister-in-law, Patsy Jensen and her nieces, Debbie Hohosh and Becky Thornock.

Carol has respectfully declined funeral services and would be honored if those who loved her would take the time to remember the good times, laughter, and kindness that she displayed.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Common Spirit Holy Cross Hospital - Mountain Point including the Hospice staff and Chaplain for their compassionate care and support.
