Carter Cecil Gledhill

August 6, 2007 — June 25, 2024

Carter Cecil Gledhill

Carter Cecil Gledhill was born on August 6, 2007 in Ogden Utah. Brett and Alisa Gledhill were privileged to be his earthly parents. He is a precious son of our Heavenly Father that we are honored to know and love as a family member and friend. Carter is named in honor of his great-grandfathers Cecil Gledhill and Cecil Bown. Carter is a wonderful brother, setting an example through his actions, leading his younger brothers Darrin and Eli.

Carter has always been a light to all those around him. From his childhood on, he had a contagious smile and a smirk that let you know something fun was coming. He was a wonderful young man and touched many lives with his thoughtfulness and kindness, always asking how he could help. He had many treasured friends.

Carter loved music and had a natural talent playing the drums. He was the DJ of many parties and car rides, music was a part of him. He also enjoyed the thrill of motorcycles, snowboarding, working out with his gym bros, hunting and being in the mountains. He enjoyed FFA and served as an officer his sophomore year and had been chosen to serve as a chapter vice president for the 2024-25 school year. He was a straight A student and excelled academically. He had a natural love for working on the farm, side by side with his grandpa, uncles and cousins. He was always wanting and willing to learn new skills. He recently found a passion for welding and hunted for opportunities to develop that skill. Carter grew into loving the gospel. He was active in his ward and quorums. He planned on serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Carter left us all too soon on Tuesday June 25, 2024 in a tragic farming accident. We know he has moved on to be with his Heavenly Parents and be embraced by his Redeemer and elder brother Jesus Christ. He is survived by his parents, Brett and Alisa Gledhill and his two brothers Darrin and Eli of Mona, his grandparents LaRell and Karen Gledhill (currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Jacksonville, Florida) and Bob and Janice Bown (Fayette) and great grandparents Lorna Bown (Fayette) and Roger and Bonnie Jensen (Gunnison). He will be deeply missed by his cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends.

Friends may call Monday, July 1 from 6 - 8 p.m. and Tuesday, July 2 from 9:45 - 10:45 am with funeral services to follow at 11 am. Services will be held at the Nephi Utah North Stake Center, 1125 North 400 East in Nephi, Utah. Interment will be in the Mona City Cemetery.

We wish to express our appreciation to our many community family and friends. We are joyfully overwhelmed by the kind acts of love, concern, support, and compassion we are experiencing at this time. It means so much to us as his family and your love will be forever a part of our lives.
