Catherine “Cathi” Ann Brinton Fairbourn, beloved Mother, precious sister, fun-filled Aunt, and faithful friend, passed away on August 4, 2022, after a long illness at the age of 50. Cathi was born to Ted and Dolores Brinton on October 8, 1971, in Salt Lake City, UT. She graduated from Valley High School in Sandy, UT, in 1990, and later received her degree in Business Management at Salt Lake Community College.

Cathi enjoyed working with people and worked in a variety of office positions. Cathi loved Halloween, bowling, painting, crafts of all kinds and hanging out with family and friends. Cathi was a diehard Ozzy Osbourne fan and owned every song he ever recorded. You could see a smile light her face every time she heard one of his songs. Above anything else being a mother to Cameron, Kendra, Caden, and Kael was her greatest joy in life.

She will be deeply missed by her loving children, their father, Ken Fairbourn, her sisters Susan Michelle (Robert) Johnson, Patti (Paul) Karpenko, Christine (Daniel) Grings, Shauna (Steven) Farrell, and Valerie (Brad) Holt, her 27 nieces and nephews, her 70 great nieces and nephews, her as well as her many faithful friends. Cathi is preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Dolores Brinton, her brother Brian Paul Brinton, and her niece Debra “Debbie” Johnson Carter.

Services will be held Friday, August 12, at 11 am, at the Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, UT 84047, where friends and family may call one hour prior to services on Friday at 10 am. Interment will be at the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Live streaming will be through the Goff Mortuary Facebook page. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help cover funeral expenses.
