Cecelia Mary Pollock, embraced by angels and surrounded by her family, was welcomed into heaven on Friday, February 18th, 2022. Cecelia was a loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Born on April 2nd, 1923, she grew up on a farm in Capulin, Colorado, along with three sisters and five brothers. She loved to ride horses and help her father herd their sheep to pasture. Cecelia married Pete Pollock on July 30th, 1949, in Bingham Canyon.

Together they had nine children. Cecelia was a generous and compassionate person. She donated to several charities over many years. Cecelia was a devoted member of the Catholic Church. She loved to garden, camp, fish, and take drives in the mountains with her family. She was also a lover of crafts, knitting and crochet. She was a generous hostess and an amazing cook. Her house was the gathering place for birthdays and holidays. She was the happiest with her family gathered around her. Cecelia had a kind and peaceful spirit that people were drawn to. She never spoke unkindly of others. She was the peacemaker, you always felt better just being around her. Her parting will be profoundly felt by her family and friends.

Cecelia is survived by her children Alex and Candace, Tony, Larry, Bill and Luane, Dave, Dan, Mary, Linda, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cecelia was preceded into death by her beloved husband Pete, first born infant daughter Georgina, son-in-law Byron, brothers and sisters.

Funeral mass will be held Tuesday, March 1st, 2022 at 11 am at St. Therese Catholic Church, 624 West Lennox, Midvale, UT. Family will receive friends on February 28th from 6-8 pm with a Rosary service at 7 pm at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, UT 84047, 801-255-7151. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
