It is with profound sadness and immense love that we announce the passing of Charles Chester Ford, who left this world on October 31, 2025.
Charles lived a life defined by kindness, empathy, and an unshakable faith in the goodness of others. To know him was to love him. His presence carried a warmth that made everyone feel at home — a quiet magic that could turn a simple moment into something extraordinary.
He was a man of compassion and respect, always ready with a smile, a listening ear, or a comforting word. Rarely was he seen without his beloved dogs by his side. He adored his four-legged companions and often extended that love to his neighbors’ pets — handing out snacks, offering gentle pats, and sharing hugs with everyone lucky enough to cross his path.
Charles’ life was a living example of grace and generosity. He taught through action — by showing love, patience, and the power of simple kindness. His neighbors, friends, and family all felt the light he carried and shared so freely.
He leaves behind a legacy that will live forever in the hearts of those who knew him. His family — children Ruth, Terry, and Larry, his four grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren — will cherish his memory and continue to live by the values he so beautifully embodied.
Though Parkinson’s disease took his physical body, it never touched his spirit. His heart was perfect. His arms were always open. His love was pure and unconditional.
Charles will be reunited with his beloved wife and lifelong partner, Sharon. Together they built a life filled with laughter, faith, and unwavering love. He is also reunited with his only son Ricky.
His legacy of compassion, warmth, and quiet strength will forever guide those he leaves behind. To have known Charles was to experience a touch of heaven on earth — and his light will continue to shine through all who loved him.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, November 6th from 12:00 to 1:45 PM at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale. Graveside services to follow at 2:00 PM at Midvale City Cemetery, 450 West 7500 South, Midvale.
