Clarence K Robison

Clarence K. Robison was born on December 5, 1926, in Bingham Canyon, Utah, a place he loved deeply and spoke of often. He passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, in West Valley City, Utah, surrounded by family.

Clarence was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Norma Jean Robison, who passed away on October 2, 2003. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Clarence “Ted” and Pearl Robison, and his brother, Russell Robison.

He is survived by his sister, Linda Zdunich (Frank), and his children: Susan Robison (Jamie), Russell Robison (Rhonda), and Christina MacMaster. Clarence was a proud grandfather to Jesse Bach (Tracey), Lauren Murray (Jeremiah), Tena Romano, Maxwell MacMaster, Megan MacMaster, Joshua Moore (Maria), Jessica Moore (Ana), and Donavin Moore. He also leaves behind several great-grandchildren. His family was the center of his life, and the people he loved most were always his greatest source of happiness.

Clarence proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II as an Electrician’s Mate Third Class. He was assigned to the USS Arcadia and stationed in Gulfport, Mississippi at the Naval Construction Battalion Center, where he worked as an electrician and assisted in the decommissioning of destroyers. After his military service, Clarence continued his career at the Kennecott Refinery, eventually retiring as an Electrical Foreman.

A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Clarence was ordained a High Priest on September 19, 2004. He devoted many years to temple service, volunteering every Saturday at the Jordan River Temple, work he loved and took great pride in.

Clarence lived life with curiosity and skill. He was an avid golfer, an excellent bowler, and a dedicated ballroom dancer who danced two nights a week well into his 90s. He was also an exceptionally talented woodworker. His craftsmanship included furniture, detailed carvings, toys for his grandchildren, and musical instruments such as flutes, guitars, and ukuleles. He once carved a nutcracker for each of his children, gifts that are still cherished and kept today.

No matter the hobby, Clarence excelled at it. If he took something on, he immersed himself in it, learning everything he could and pushing himself to do it well. He approached everything with care, pride, and a desire to do it right.

Growing up in Bingham Canyon shaped much of who he was. He spoke often of his childhood there and how much he loved growing up in Bingham Canyon. He was proud of where he came from. He loved hiking, flying kites with friends, and helping his father deliver butchered meat throughout the community. Those early years stayed close to his heart.

Above all, Clarence was a family man. He raised a beautiful family and leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion. He was charismatic, gentle, caring, and a wonderful provider. He never missed a chance to show affection, and when hugged or kissed goodbye, he would always smile and say, “Thank you for that.”

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
