David Ross Sacco

David Ross Sacco was born in Dragerton, Utah on September 14th, 1962, to Ross and Greta Sacco. He was tragically taken from us in an accident on October 29th, 2022.

Dave married Kathleen Minson in 1988 and together than had two beautiful daughters that he loved dearly, Samantha and Sydney Sacco.

Dave was a wonderful husband, father, friend, son, and uncle. He was committed to his family above all else and loved being a father to his two amazing daughters. Dave was an avid hiker and loved to explore the many hiking trails of his beloved state of Utah. For many years he organized an annual weekend trip, the “Men’s Summit,” with his group of longtime friends that called each other brother.

Dave was a pioneer in the video rental business, an instrumental partner in the development of the Hollywood Video brand during their explosive growth. After leaving Hollywood Entertainment, Dave built a successful consulting firm specializing in helping small and mid-size companies scale and grow into regional and national brands. Most prominent was City Brew Coffee which Sacco Management helped steer their early-stage growth. Dave later became the President and Chief Operating officer for City Brew Coffee, where he worked until his death.

Dave will be remembered by countless people he worked with over the years for his leadership, grace, and sense of humor. The impact he made in the business community and in the lives and careers of so many, cannot fully be measured; but it is certainly felt with his passing. He was kind to everyone and made people feel they matter, because he truly believed they did.

Dave was preceded in death by his father Ross Sacco. He is survived by his wife and daughters, mothers Arlene Sacco and Greta Horlacher, sisters Jill McKinnon, Cynthia Hansen, Cindy March, Amy Hartley and 18 nieces and nephews.

Arrangements for a celebration of life are being planned and will be announced on a future date.
