Dean Allred Bailey

Dean Allred Bailey was born on May 7, 1947, in Payson, Utah. He lived a life defined by hard work, faith, service, and deep love for his family.

Dean was sealed to the love of his life, Ann Hall Bailey, in the Manti LDS Temple on June 28, 1968. Family meant everything to him. He dearly loved his grandchildren and took special joy in little children and babies, always making them feel noticed and loved.

A true outdoorsman, Dean had a lifelong love for horses and cattle and deeply respected the old-time ways of doing things. He was a very hard-working man who believed in honest labor and caring for what he was given. Dean was always willing to help and serve others.

Dean faithfully served in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in many callings, including Elders Quorum President, High Priest Group Leader, Executive Secretary, and as a devoted home teacher. He especially loved visiting with the people in the rest home, where his kindness, listening ear, and good stories brought comfort and joy. Dean always had a good story to tell and enjoyed visiting with everyone he met.

Dean is survived by his wife, Ann Bailey; his daughter, Amanda (Russ) Beck; and his son, Seth Bailey. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Andrew Pokorny, Jaxon McGovern, Max McGovern, Madison Kinsman, Austin Beck, Tyson Beck, and Aaron Beck, as well as five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughters, Aimee Pokorny and Melissa Lee Kinsman, and his son-in-law, Lee Kinsman.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Nephi 4th/5th Ward Chapel. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the same location. An additional viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home.

Dean will be remembered for his strong work ethic, deep faith, love of the outdoors, and quiet acts of service. His legacy of kindness, devotion to family, and willingness to help others will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
