Dean J. Eliason

My daddy gained his wings. Dean left this earth on Monday, July 1st, 2024. He was born on December 26th, 1943. The son of Merle and Jack Eliason. He had a sister Sharon (Merwin) Jensen; a brother Bruce (Eileen) Eliason.

He was a Journey Lineman for Utah Power for 43 years. Dean married Sydney Moseley and together they had two daughters Trisha (Mike) Shaw and Brandi (Chuck) Canick. They had four grandkids Ashley Shaw, Christopher (Kaila) Shaw, Kaiden Canick and Waylon Canick. They had two great grandsons Kellin and Colter Shaw. He and Sydney later divorced but always remained friends.

Dean then married Patrice Burningham with that came two bonus children Clint (Emily) Burningham, Kim (Cory) Carson; six grandkids and three great grandkids.

He was an amazing dad and loved his family very much. He enjoyed boating, hunting and camping with his family. He loved playing pool with his daughter Trisha.

Preceded in death by his mom and dad; wife Sydney; daughter Brandi and his wife Patrice.

“I love you Patrice. I love you kids and grandkids. Don’t fight. I am grateful for the blessings of family I’ve been given.” He will be truly missed. I love you Dad.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 11th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 12th at 11:00 AM at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Ave T Street, Salt Lake City.
