Donald William Dixon

Donald Willam Dixon left his mortal existence unexpectedly Sunday morning the 3rd of December at his home in the presence of the one thing in life he loved the most, his lifelong sweetheart, his wife, his everything, Kathrine Dixon.

One can hardly sum up into a few paragraphs a man who lived life so fully, so passionately as Don Dixon did. Don was born in Ogden, Utah on July 23, 1953. He was the oldest of 5 children. His fondest memories were in the mountains and rivers up Weber Canyon with his Grandpa Dixon. After graduation from Ogden High School, he spent some years in the military in Germany where he was married to Kathy and sealed to her in the LDS Temple. He had a thirst for knowledge and continued his education throughout his life.

Don was passionate about everything he did. He had numerous hobbies and loved riding his Harley’s, fishing, hunting, off roading and camping. He set out to achieve perfection in all that he did. He loved sharing his passions with family and friends. He excelled in his knowledge and ability with everything he did, never content with mediocrity. He worked tirelessly to create lasting family memories in Bear Lake and other family outings. He was an industry leader in his occupation as a painter and graphic designer. Nothing Don did in life was done halfway or small. Don built his company from the ground up and included painting projects such as large LDS temples, Real Soccer stadium and countless other large-scale projects. With all his success in business and love of his hobbies and passions in life nothing was more important to Don than his family. From a very young age Don was a caretaker, provider, example, and hero to nearly everyone around him, in the role as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was always present and concerned with the desire to ensure everyone around him was well taken care of and loved. He generously provided emotional and financial support at every opportunity he could.

One cannot adequately pay tribute to the life and honor of a man, a legend who was so many things to so many people. It is an understatement to say he will be missed. Don was preceded in death by his parents Richard Harvey Dixon and Glenna O'Dell. Don is survived by wife Kathrine Dixon. Children Micheal Hodson (Lorrie), Michelle Duncan (Dixon), Jared Dixon (Tiffany), Natalie Kershaw (Toby), Mandy Dixon and Monica Ririe (Kenny). 26 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 4 siblings and countless loved ones too numerous to mention.

The viewing will be held from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m., and the funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. with graveside services in Brigham City Cemetery, 300 E 300 S, Brigham City Utah.
