Donna Flitton

Donna May Atwood Flitton age 96, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Donna was born in Cedarview, UT on November 24, 1926, to Kenneth Ward Atwood and Luella King.  Donna was a waitress for several years before getting her teaching degree from the University of Utah and becoming a schoolteacher.

Donna married Ralph Flitton, September 1, 1948.  Donna was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She had many callings but most recently served a mission calling with her husband for eight years at the conference center and 15 years as a worker at the Jordan River Temple.

Donna is survived by sisters, Margaret Brough and Nola (Nick) Falcone, son Craig (Irene) Flitton, daughter Shelly (Dale) Poplin, son-in-law Phillip Christensen and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband Ralph, son Denny, daughter Loretta, father Ward, mother Luella, brother Kenneth, sisters Jane, Olive and Lawana and great grandson Joshua Ray.

Graveside services and interment will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 29 at the Sandy City Cemetery, 9000 South 700 East. The viewing will be held from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the services at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street.
