Edith Lorraine Allred Bronson

Lorraine, age 72, peacefully passed away on May 5th, 2026 in Mount Pleasant, Utah. She was born on January 26th, 1954 in Murray, Utah to Marvin and Edith Allred, their third of eleven children. Lorraine married Thomas Edwards Bronson (Tom) on August 26th, 1972 in Rocky Ridge, Utah. After Tom's passing in 2007, she married Paul Roland Gold in 2008.

Lorraine was well-known for her talents with music, writing and artwork. She was a loving mother who filled her children's lives with creatively hand-crafted playthings and furniture.

In 1987 she went to school at UTC (now UVU) to train in dental assisting. She worked in that field for 18 years. In 2004 she made the decision to change careers and became a founding member of the faculty and schoolboard of Star Valley School.

Through the years, she taught piano lessons, wrote plays and musicals, composed music, wrote books, and was an emotional and spiritual guide for those who struggled. Lorraine spoke fluent spanish and traveled frequently to Ozumba, Mexico as an interpreter. She loved the people there! She was the most fun mom and grandma! She loved her babies!

She is survived by her children, Robyn, Diane, Janet, Merrill, Martha and SueEllen (and many more that she claimed), 44 grandchildren (and many more that she claimed), and 29 great-grandchildren (and many more that she claimed). She is also survived by 22 siblings.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Marvin and Edith, by Tom, her beloved spouse of 34 years, her second husband of 4 years, Paul, Mackay (sister), Darrell (brother), Clarence (brother), JoAnn and Martha (even closer than sisters), and Little Ricky (great-grandson).

Her funeral services will be held at the MLA Building (157 N Rockwell Dr, Rocky Ridge, Utah).

Viewing Sunday, May 10th 6:00-8:00 pm.

Viewing Monday, May 11th 9-10:30 am followed by the funeral services at 11 am.

Mom has passed through the Refiner's Fire and gone on to Glory.
