Elias Roblez

It is with great sadness I announce the passing of my wonderful husband Elias Roblez.

Elias was born October 17, 1930 in Bingham Canyon, UT to Nicholas and Desideria Roblez. He loved growing up in Bingham and always had many interesting stories to tell anyone who would listen. He graduated from Bingham High School in 1949. He worked for Kennecott Copper Corporation for 39 years 8 months. During part of that time as an electrician he was president of IBEW Local 1081.

Elias has four wonderful children, Rocky, Jody, Deborah and Stephen, all of whom he loved very much. He was so very proud of all of them. He also treasured his grandchildren Emily, Ryan and Zachary, and the times he spent with them.

Elias loved people, leading him to coach Pony League and American Legion Baseball. He was also president of the Mountain View Men's Golf Association for several years.

He was very kind to lend a helping hand to neighbors and friends. For several years he donated each week bags of potatoes and dozens of eggs to St. Therese's food bank in Midvale when it was in operation.

In May 1984 Elias and I were married. We began a storybook romance. We danced, played golf and traveled. Each year we would attend three NY Yankee games and one Notre Dame football game. For years we had season tickets to Utah football and the Utah Jazz. We played golf together in mixed couples tournaments around the state and played many wonderful golf courses in Florida, Arizona, California and Sun Valley, Idaho. We especially loved San Francisco and traveled there a couple of times a year with the highlight being dinner and dancing on a Hornblower Dinner Cruise.

Elias I could search my whole life through and never find anyone as wonderful as you! I could live a thousand lifetimes but you will always be my one and only true love! Elias, we are together forever! May God bless you and keep you until we are together again!

Preceded in death by mother, father, brothers and sisters. Survived by wife Veronica, children Rocky (Lisa), Jody West (Dave), Deborah Jensen (Mark) and Stephen Roblez, grandchildren Emily West, Ryan West and Zachary Roblez, brother-in-law Greg Seal, wife Dorothy and niece Rebecca, and many other nieces and nephews.
