With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Eric Ross Rieper, a devoted son, proud father, protective brother, and cherished uncle. Eric left this world too soon, but the love and boundless joy he gave lives on in everyone who knew him.
Born in 1973, Eric was known for his deep kindness, sharp wit, shinning personality, joyous laughter and quiet generosity. He was a constant presence—always showing up with a helping hand, a warm meal, or a word of encouragement. He never asked for praise, yet gave everything he had. Okay.. maybe a little praise he was always the center of attention growing up.
At the center of Eric’s heart was his daughter, Sophie. She was his greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. His love for her was unwavering and full of happiness . He spoke of her often, cared for her deeply, and did everything he could to make her feel safe and loved. Being her dad meant everything to him.
Eric supported his family with a love that was both steady and selfless. Whether it was hiring someone to keep his sister’s lawn mowed or helping care for their mother through cancer, he took on responsibilities with quiet grace and compassion.
He was a second father, a teacher of self-worth, and a constant source of laughter. His meals brought people together. His presence brought peace. His love was unforgettable.
Eric is survived by his beloved daughter Sophie, his loving sister Ashley, his brother Scotty, his proud parents, nieces, nephews, and countless friends who were lucky to be part of his life. We miss him beyond words. Our protector. Our light. Our Eric. Forever.
