Garff J Maxfield

Garff J Maxfield quietly joined his sweetheart and family above on March 12, 2023 in Cottonwood Heights, Utah.  He was 99 years old.  Garff was born on April 16, 1923 in McCornick, Utah to Lella Stapley and Archelaus Hans Maxfield.  He married Bonnie Jensen on September 9, 1943 and later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple December 16, 1943.

He was a veteran of World War II and served in Burma, India and China.

Garff loved the outdoors - camping, fishing, 4-wheeling, horseback riding, hiking,  hunting and dutch oven cooking.
Garff spent his life selflessly serving others and will be missed by many.

He loved his wife Bonnie and he loved his children and adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Garff is survived by his children Julie, Tina and Mont, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 in the Butler West Stake Center, 1845 East 7200 South. Viewing 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 with the funeral at 10:30. Interment in Delta Utah.
