Jerry Andus, age 89, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, in Murray, Utah. He was born on February 2, 1937, in Loveland, Colorado, and was raised in Utah, where he attended Murray High School.

At the age of 16, Jerry met the love of his life, Arlene Haun. The two were married on September 16, 1955, and were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Their marriage was a remarkable example of love, faith, and devotion.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie W. Andus and Nadine Andus; his brother, Leslie Andus, and sister, Jean Judd.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Arlene, and his children: Cindy McCarthy (John), Shele Ujifusa (Glen), Ron Andus (Dayna), and Kim Dixon (Mike); 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Andus (Sheron), as well as many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Jerry enjoyed a distinguished 30-year career with General Motors. Beginning in the parts department, his dedication and leadership led him to become a regional sales manager, where he was recognized as a strong supporter of Chevrolet. His career took him throughout Utah, Montana, California, Colorado, and eventually into retirement in Arizona.

Outside of work, Jerry cherished spending time with his family. He was an avid supporter of BYU athletics and a talented golfer who won multiple club championships. Those who knew him best will remember him as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and friend whose quiet strength and kindness touched countless lives.

A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jerry and Arlene served two full-time missions in Mobile, Alabama, and Peoria, Arizona. His testimony, service, and commitment to the gospel were central to his life and left a lasting influence on all who knew him.

Jerry’s legacy is one of faith, hard work, integrity, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
