Geraldine Williams

Geraldine Taylor Williams passed away October 5, 2023 due to old age. She was born May 19, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Richard Foy Taylor and Arvilla Cook Taylor, the second of five children. 

Geraldine “Geri” graduated from West High School and married Thomas Dean Williams on July 15, 1960 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She attended LDS Business School and worked until her third child was born. She and her husband were blessed with six beautiful children. 

Geraldine lovingly served in many church callings throughout her life, including Primary, Sunday School, Young Women’s Organization, Relief Society and the Temple Baptistry. Geraldine gave generously with her time, often volunteering at Deseret Industries or inspiring others with her talent in making handcraft items and quilts for family, friends, and members of the community. 

Geraldine is survived by children Ann (Marci Milligan), Janet (Jim Johnson), Tom (Jodee McCurdy), Elaine, Robert, Alice (John Bolinder), eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and her siblings Joyce Ehninger, Gordon (Dorothy) Taylor and Grant (Brigid) Taylor. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and her sister Margie Martin.

A family gathering will be held in her honor at the Goff Mortuary located at 8090 State Street in Midvale, Utah on Tuesday, October 17th from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. 

In lieu of flowers or a plant in honor of Geraldine, please join us to share a story or consider a contribution to Primary Children’s Hospital and/or Neighborhood House which delivers supportive services to children and seniors in need of affordable care and assistance.
