Glenn S. Baguley passed away peacefully in Nephi, UT on August 14, 2026. Glenn was born on March 10, 1957 in Compton, CA to Kenneth Baguley and Diane Hardie Baguley.
Glenn taught Auto Mechanics at Payson High School for 30 years. He loved his job and he loved working with his students, sometimes up to 300 students in a term. He played the trombone and often joined Payson's band at many games.
He married Leslie Jean Larsen on November 23, 1985. They loved going camping and sightseeing in their trailer. On April 8, 1992, Breann joined their family. She too fit right in. Going up the mountains was one of her favorite things to do. Glenn loved her so much, he could never say no to her. She was spoiled but she turned out to be just fine. A little later a grandson, Payton Chapple, came into our lives. Another child for Glenn to spoil. The two were very close and spent a lot of time together. He was so tender and good as Glenn was going through his dementia. Payton loved his Grandpa.
Glenn was so good to all his students, trying so carefully to teach them the trade and how to be a good person. Everyone was good to him and if they ever met up they would talk about all the fun days at school.
Glenn was loved by all who met him and will be greatly missed.
Glenn is survived by his daughter, Breann Baguley and grandson Payton Chapple, brothers Kenneth (Blanca), Krutis (Luann), sisters Karen (Rick) Simpson, Krista (Steve) Neilson and Leslie Jean Baguley Nielsen. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Anna Joe Chapple and his parents, Kenneth and Diane Baguley.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, August 21, at 10:30 am at the Payson 19th Ward Chapel (482 West 1400 North). A viewing will be held Thursday, August 20th from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Payson 19th Ward Chapel and Friday morning from 9:00 to 10:15 am. Interment will follow at the Salt Lake City Cemetery (200 North St, Salt Lake City) at 2:30 pm.
