Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather passed away peacefully at home on July 4th. He will be dearly missed by his family. He was born on May 18th, 1938 to William Earl Walters and Otha Avis Walters in Bingham Canyon, Utah. He was one of 6 kids.
Gordon met his sweetheart, Vicky Katherine Noyes on August 31st, 1958 and married her on August 31st, 1958. They spent 66 years together. Together they have three sons Orin, Alen, Larry and their adopted son Jack (deceased October 2021). He served in the United States Navy and the United States Army for over 11 years. Later worked Civil Service for the Tooele Army Depot. In his younger years he loved hiking and camping with family, and woodworking. He also cherished his motorcycle rides through the canyons and open country with his wife. He enjoyed being a school crossing guard for over 10 years.
Survived by his wife, three sons, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and one sister. Preceded in death by his adopted son, parents and four siblings.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 9th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, July 10th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale. Graveside service to follow on Wednesday, July 10th at 11:30 AM at West Jordan City Cemetery, 7925 South 1300 West, West Jordan.
