It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Harold Price of Sandy, Utah on February 20, 2022, at the age of 71 years.
Harold will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Evonne; brothers Charles Price, and Wayne Price, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 39 years, Marci; his brother Homer (Price), sister Shirley Nance, and parents Charles and Delphia Price.
Harold was born in Checotah, Oklahoma, spent many of his formative years in Pocatello, Idaho and graduated from Logan High in Utah. He attended and graduated from Utah State University, which is where he met Marcelline (Elder), his spouse. After graduation he joined the Army and was stationed the majority of his time in Berlin, Germany. After honorably serving, he moved back to Salt Lake City and received his graduate degree in Social Work from the University of Utah. He used his talents and energy serving those who served, working at the Salt Lake Veterans Medical Center for over 30 years. He continued to dedicate his life to serving others by visiting and helping neighbors and fulfilling church callings. In his off time, he enjoyed watching University of Utah football. Harold was a jokester who loved laughing and listening to music. He consistently attempted to make others feel cared for and liked.
A viewing will be held from 0930-1100 followed directly by a funeral that will be held at 1100, on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Goff Mortuary on 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, UT 84047. Graveside dedication will follow at Hyde Park Cemetery, in Hyde Park, UT.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Harold's name to DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Charitable Service Trust, or Fisher House Foundation.
A special thanks to those who helped care for Harold, especially the nurses and CNAs at Pheasant Run Memory Care.
