Iris was always upbeat and fun to be around. She had a great sense of humor.

Her family had lots of laughs about life in general. Sometimes just silly things or inside jokes would bring out the laughter. She has a witty personality and is always positive with a cute little laugh with her hand over her mouth. Iris was a very talented lady. She loved serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She has been on the Humanitarian committee for many years making quilts. She enjoyed painting in oils and shared her paintings with many friends and family.

She loved Genealogy and worked many hours researching her ancestors and found many pictures and special stories about them. She served as Secretary and Historian for the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was past President and long time member of the 21st Century Delphic Literary Club of Nephi and was founder of the Nephi Rose Garden spending many hours weeding and trimming.

Iris is an Icon to the town of Nephi and received Woman of the Year award in 2015. Her life was very blessed living in such a great place surrounded by family and friends.

She lived the last 4 years of her life at Red Cliffs Assisted Living surrounded by her friends there whom she loved very much. We are very gratefiil to the staff and residents for the loving care and concern they gave to our mother and grandmother.
