Irma (Andrea) Boyce

Beautiful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend Irma (Andrea) Boyce, 84, was called home on Sunday, January 16, 2022. She went peacefully in her sleep in Lehi, Utah.

Andrea was the daughter of Jose Rodriguez and Jovita Aparicio Rodriguez. She grew up near the 2 most famous volcanoes of México city, Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl. Later she and her family moved near the beaches of Southern California.

Andrea fell in love with a handsome doctor there, and had her only child, Lisa. She worked over twenty years for Merle Norman Cosmetics, in L.A. until she retired.

She was close to her mother Jovita and brother Ishmael, along with her 2 nieces Christina and Margie.

Ultimately she moved to Utah to be close to her daughter (Lisa) and the LDS church. Andrea was an active member of the church, served in the temple, and had many wonderful friends.

She was very patriotic and loved the United States. She always proudly displayed the American flag. She also loved animals, movies, music, and dancing. She enjoyed laughing and joking around. She will be greatly missed.

Andrea was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Jovita Rodriguez and her brother Ishmael Rodriguez. She is survived by her daughter Lisa Ruiz, her 3 grandchildren Alyssa (Ruiz) Bustamante, Sheridan Ruiz, Tremaine Ruiz and nieces Christina Smith and Margie Rodriguez.

A viewing will be held at the Anderson & Goff Mortuary in Draper, Utah Thursday, January 20th at 10:00 am with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m.

The services will be live-streamed on the Anderson & Goff Mortuary Facebook page.
