Janet Carole Atkinson

Janet Carole Atkinson passed away on August 12th, 2021. Following prolonged and difficult physical challenges, Janet completed her time on earth and returned to her heavenly home.

Janet Atkinson was born in Charleston, West Virginia on September 26th, 1955 to Robert "Kenny" Atkinson and Julia "Peggy" Donnally Atkinson.

Janet was preceded in death by her mother Julia "Peggy" Atkinson. She is survived by her father, Kenny Atkinson, her children and their spouses, Carole and Craig Hollinger, Briant and Kim Brunisholz, and Kris Brunisholz; her grandchildren, Abigail (Hollinger) and Connor Morris, Emily Hollinger, Hank Brunisholz, Sam Hollinger, Ayson Brunisholz, and Justyn Brunisholz; her siblings and their spouses, Rob (Sally) Atkinson, Julia (Ralph) Menssen, Melinda (Rick) Cowin, Sherry (Craig) Perry, and many nieces and nephews. Janet was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her greatest happiness and pride are her grandchildren.

Janet retired from Intermountain HealthCare in 2020 after 25 years of service and multiple positions within the company.

Janet enjoyed singing, spending time with her grandchildren, watching her favorite movies, puzzles, books on tape and crocheting. And, through the years Janet enjoyed the company of many beloved pets.

Funeral services for Janet will be held Tuesday, August 17th, 2021 at the LDS chapel located at 12830 S. 2700 W., Riverton, UT 84065. The viewing and visitation will be from 9:30 am-10:45 am with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. Interment at Riverton City Cemetery.
