Javier Alzen, age 50, passed away on Friday October 14, 2022, at University of Utah Hospital.
He was born on March 18, 1972 in Tupiza, Bolivia. He was a longtime resident of Sandy, Utah.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carola Gironda, daughter Diana, father Humberto Alzerreca, mother Nelly Segovia, brother Fernando, sister-in-law Yan Ping, other loving family relatives, work colleagues and friends.
Javier attended Utah State University and graduated with a Masters in Microbiology and worked at the University of Utah and ARUP Laboratories.
The family would like to express our thanks for the outstanding support to ARUP Laboratories, especially to HR and the Health Family Clinic, laboratory personnel at the clinic for all the help and support during all of the years of Javier’s chronic illness.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 19, at 2 pm at the Sandy City Cemetery, 9000 South 700 East, Sandy.
