Jean Egan Stewart Carlsen

Jean Egan Stewart Carlsen, age 95, passed away on October 15, 2025 in South Jordan, Utah. She was born on June 12, 1930 in Smithfield, Utah to Milo and Lucy Fackrell Egan.

She attended South High in Salt Lake City. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority her entire life, reaching the highest levels. She cherished all the friends she made during those years.

She also loved all the staff at Copper Creek Assisted Living in South Jordan, Utah and we would like to thank each one of them for the great care they provided.

Jean loved her children, grandchildren and her great-grandchildren so much. She spent all of her life making memories with each and every one. Jean also loved her church and her music.

Predeceased by her husbands Don H Stewart, Douglas E. Carlsen, her mother, Lucy, her siblings: Wayne, Ralph, Thelma, Mardene and Roma.

Survived by her children: Don H Stewart Jr (son), Vicki L Stewart (daugher in law), Jim Stewart (son), Julie Nelson (daughter), Brett Stewart (son), Charlene Stewart (daughter in law), Marcy Petersen (daughter), Worth Petersen (son in law), and all her grandchildren: Brandi, Courtney, Loni, Matt, Steven, Melissa, Cody, Josh, Kyle.Chelcy, Emily and Justin, and all her great-grandchildren: River, Abbey, Meadow, Ryder, Aliya, Porter, Jordan, Kaidon, Mason and Nova, and three great great-grandchildren: Oakley, Colter and Silas.

Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025 at 11:00 am at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale, Utah, with a visitation from 9:30 to 10:45 am. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
