Jean Robertson

Jean Robertson, age 98, of Midvale, UT, passed away on March 14, 2024. She was born on January 13, 1926, to Ernest Lionel Burgon and Alice Shulsen.

Mom's caregiver for the last year was Carol Liessi, an angel full of Love, who anticipated every need.  The family is deeply grateful to her.

Jean was an amazing mom full of energy and creativity always doing fun things with her children. She was involved in many things. After she retired she said she didn't know how she had time to work! She made intricate miniature doll houses which she generously donated to charities for fundraising. Together with Allen, she created a beautiful bird habitat filled with vibrant flowers.

In her career, Jean held various managerial positions, culminating in her role as a director at South Valley Water Reclamation. She also went back to school as an adult and earned her associate's degree.

Jean is survived by her son Gary Nielsen (Marcia), daughters Melinda Nielsen and Laurie Nielsen (Glenn Hill), granddaughter Brooke Boyce (Jake), grandson Chad Nielsen (Elise), and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by Allen Keith Robertson, Calvin Robert Nielsen, and Baby Nielsen.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday March 19th at 11 am at the Midvale City Cemetery.
