Joan Sharon Robbins

Joan Sharon Robbins, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on April 28th, 2025 at the age of 88. She was born on January 17th, 1937, in Ogden, Utah to Ethel and Clyde McBride. Joan was a bright light from the very beginning. The Baby of her family and only girl.

She graduated from Ogden High School, where she enjoyed singing at assemblies and special events. Though she was naturally shy, Joan had a voice like an angel and a rare ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

Joan worked in human resources throughout her career, with positions at Atwood Mobil, Williamsburg Bank, Judkins, and Huish Distributing. She had a genuine love for people and never missed an opportunity to offer a kind word or a heartfelt compliment. Her warmth and sincerity made everyone feel like family.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Joan expressed her love through countless acts of care-especially in the kitchen. She was a wonderful cook who took joy in preparing beautiful meals for her family and friends. Joan also loved to travel, dance, shop at thrift stores, play penny poker, and host tea parties with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters Sharon and Julie, 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sons Kent Sherman and Keith Sherman, daughter Elaine Sherman, and granddaughter Melissa Sherman.

She was a light in the lives of many and her memory will be cherished always.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 17th at 1:00 PM at Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Boulevard, Ogden, Utah 84401 (grave site in on E Crest).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
