Julio Manuel Silva Jr., age 47, passed away on January 3, 2026 in Utah.
He was born in August of 1978, in California to Julio Manuel Silva Sr. and Isabel Silveira Pierce.
Julio married the love of his life, Jessica Silva, in September of 2009. They celebrated nearly 20 years of love together and created a beautiful family.
Julio proudly served in the United States Army. Above all else, Julio was an exceptional father and loved his children with his whole heart. Being a dad was his favorite part of life and his proudest accomplishment. Julio always prioritized his children Preston and Sophia, and loved playing with them every chance he got. Julio was a devoted husband, father, son, big brother, and friend, and a true protector to those he loved. He cherished using a telescope to look at the stars with his family, fishing together, and being fully present in their lives. He loved being in nature and especially loved hopping in the car to adventure, explore, and discover new places with Jessica, Preston, and Sophia. Whether it was heading to the snow anytime it fell, going on bike rides, watching movies, playing games, or simply spending time side by side, his greatest joy was being with his family.
As a teenager, Julio selflessly saved a young girl from being hit by a car by pushing her out of harm’s way, taking the impact himself—an act that reflected the heroic heart he carried throughout his life.
Julio was the life of the party, always wearing a big smile and sharing an unforgettable laugh that touched your soul. The world lost a truly great man and could use more Julios in it. His spirit will live on in all of us, especially in his family and his beloved children.
We love you, Julio.
