June Nadine Bice Elder

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of June Nadine Elder who passed away on August 3, 2026 at the age of 89 in Sandy, Utah.

June was born on July 14, 1937 in Aberdeen Washington, to Clifford and Ragna Bice. She grew up in Portland, Oregon. She married the love of her life, Richard Elder, in Seattle in 1963. June was a homemaker known for her kindness and always doing things for others, love for her family and her contagious laugh and good humor. To know June is to love her.

June found joy in reading, running, serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints including temple service and many church callings in Primary and Relief Society

June is survived by her four children: Michael Elder (Joan) of Logan, Utah; David Elder (Michele) of Covington, Washington; Karen Elder Anderson (Jeff) of South Jordan, Utah; Steven Elder (Lorene) of Draper, Utah. She is preceded in death by her parents Clifford and Ragna Bice, her brother Jim Bice, as well as her husband, Richard Henry Elder and their son Jeffrey Lee Elder. At last count, June’s posterity was at 92.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 17, 2026 at 12:00pm at the Draper Utah Crescent View Stake Center located 11626 South 300 East in Draper, Utah. A viewing for friends and family will be held prior to the service from 10:30am to 11:45am at the same location. Burial will take place at the Utah Veterans Cemetery, 17111 S. Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale.

Though deeply missed, June will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love and strength will continue to inspire future generations.
