Our beloved and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Karen Crawford Cole, peacefully returned home to her Heavenly Father on March 23, 2026.
Karen was born on January 12, 1943, in American Fork, Utah, to her loving parents, George and Helen Crawford. She was raised on a dairy farm in American Fork and graduated from American Fork High School.
She later graduated from LDS Business School and began her career working at Continental Bank in Salt Lake City. During this time, she met her eternal companion, LeRoy. They were married in the Logan Temple on February 28, 1963. Karen devoted her life to raising their five children and creating a loving home.
She found great joy in family life, especially during the many camping and boating trips she shared with her children and, later, her grandchildren.
Karen and her husband, LeRoy, were devoted fans of the Utah Jazz and spent many years attending games together. She also had a deep love of reading and built an extensive personal library over the years.
As a faithful and dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Karen served in numerous callings and formed lifelong friendships through her service.
Karen is survived by her loving husband, LeRoy Cole; her children, Scott Cole (Mylinda), Russell Cole (Shelle), and Kristie Winegar (Tyler); her cherished grandchildren; and her brother, Kent.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Sheldon Cole and Craig Cole; her sisters, Jackie and Lorna; and her brother, Steven.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the many caregivers and healthcare professionals who compassionately cared for Karen and helped to make it possible for her to spend her final days at home with her family.
