Kathleen Ann Colegrove West returned to her Father in Heaven peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, November 26th, 2024, in Nephi, UT, surrounded by her loving family.
Kathy was born on March 13th, 1953, in Elmhurst, Illinois. She is survived by her husband, Roger; her children (and their spouses), Rachel (Jeff), Derek (Jenny), Angela (Hoss), Celeste (Mike), Kristy (Ricky), Grace (Abe), Jimmy (Brandi), and Connie (Bryan); and her siblings, Mike, Bill, Patty, Linda, and Barb. She was preceded by her parents, Cecilia and Clell Duane Colegrove; her younger brother, Jeff; and her grandchildren, Clara and Chance.
Kathy’s greatest love was for her family, especially her 30 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She cherished spending time with each and every one of them, always offering a listening ear, words of comfort, and unwavering support. She was an amazing great-grandmother, grandmother, and mother, dedicating her time and energy to selflessly helping her family in any way she could.
Kathy was a woman of deep faith, devoted to God and His gospel. She had a close relationship with Him and a strong testimony of His plan. She looked for His hand in all things. She cherished studying the scriptures and kept Christ in her heart at all times.
She enjoyed simple pleasures like walking in the outdoors, playing games such as Yahtzee, Phase 10, and Hand & Foot, journaling, writing letters, watching Charlie Brown, and reading book after book. She was also actively learning Spanish, always eager to expand her horizons.
Despite her modest circumstances, Kathy always found a way to give back. She was a generous soul who regularly donated to various charitable organizations, demonstrating her compassion and desire to help those in need.
Kathy’s legacy is one of love, faith, generosity, and unwavering support for her family and friends. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her listening ear, and her ability to bring comfort to those around her. Her impact on her family and community will be felt for generations to come.
Kathy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. May her memory be a blessing.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 4 at 10:30 AM with a viewing one hour prior and also Tuesday evening 6 to 8 at the Rocky Ridge Chapel.
