Kathryn Georgia Seifert Gonzales

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on the morning of May 31, 2026.

Born in 1947, Kathy found the love of her life in Fred E Gonzales. When they married on May 28, 1978, they didn't just start a family, they blended one, bringing together her daughter and Fred's three boys under one roof. On June 27, 1981, they were sealed together as a family in the LDS temple, all six of them. Four years later, that family was complete with the arrival of Sam in 1985.

Kathy was the heart and center of her family. She was the one who brought everyone together, the organizer of gatherings, the keeper of traditions, the reason there was always a reason to show up. Holidays, birthdays, everyday moments, she had a way of turning them into something worth remembering. Her home was a place people wanted to be, and she made sure of it. She was happiest when surrounded by the people she loved most.

She was preceded in death by husband, Fred E Gonzales; her sisters Eileen (Dan) Waters and Marilyn (Gary) Peterson; and parents, Herbert Seifert and Mary Thurgood Seifert.

She is survived by her brother Ronald Seifert; her five children, Terry (Cathy), Mary Winters, Kenneth, Chain (Kristy), and Sam (Kierstin); her grandchildren Josh, Ciara, Karley (Joey) Wilson, Jordan (Courtney), Rylee, Parker, and Logan; her great-grandchildren Remington, Hunter, Killian, Emery, and Memphis, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

A viewing to be held at the LDS Church Building located at 5156 W. Clay Hollow Ave. West Jordan, UT on Friday, June 5th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral to be held at the same location at 5156 W. Clay Hollow Ave. West Jordan, UT on Saturday, June 6th at 12:00 pm with a viewing beforehand at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd, Sandy following services.
