Kathy passed away on March 28, 2024 at home after a long battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis for many years. She was born on August 1, 1947 to Dallas and Virginia Parkin. She married Orlan Longmore on June 8, 1966, later divorced. Together they had three children. Later she married Jeff Strah which brought her four other wonderful children.

Kathy worked for Turn Community as a Direct Support Professional for 11 years. She was an amazing mom and wonderful caretaker.

Kathy was a remarkable soul who touched the lives of all who knew her. Her boundless love, acceptance, and selflessness knew no bounds. She embraced everyone with open arms, radiating kindness, and understanding. She will forever be cherished for her warmth, compassion unwavering presence in our lives. May her spirit live on in the countless hearts she’s touched, leaving an everlasting mark on our hearts. Kathy will be deeply missed but her spirit of love and compassion will forever guide and inspire us.

Survived by children Carol (Dave) Berryhill, Shane (Raelynn) Longmore, LaRhonda McCauley, Paul (Tracy) Hines, John (Julie) Strah and Jeff Strah; grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she loved spending time with them all. Also survived by sister Maurine (Stan) Knapp, brothers Gil (Brenda) Parkin and Rodger Parkin, and ex-husband Orlan Longmore. Preceded in death by son Gary Longmore; daughters-in-law Melissa Longmore, Mandy Longmore and Kristi Strah; son-in-law Daryl McCauley; brothers Steve Parkin, Don Parkin, and Doug Parkin.

Friends are invited to greet that family during a viewing on Saturday, April 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale.

Special thanks to Dr. Rebecca Overbury and Dr. Jennifer Vogt for all their love and tender care to our mom.
